In today’s episode, I discuss the emotional experiences that are magnified during the holidays and the extremes of navigating the healing process. I invite you to sit with me for a few moments while I lead a meditation to soothe emotional triggers and provide a pillow of support. It’s a potent time of the year and I want to stick with you on this journey back to yourself.  

First, I guide you through how to find a comfortable position and begin to connect with your body. What does your breath feel like? Allow physical touch as you bring attention to all parts of yourself. 

From there, start to notice the sensations and vibrations throughout your electric body. Where do you feel tingling? When you bring attention to a part of your body, you can understand what’s happening in that part of the body. This light body is your vital life force. 

As you are present in your light body, I share a visualization technique to encapsulate your earth body with a golden light. Then, slowly acknowledge an emotional trigger as you release it from the heart. Can your golden light flow into the heart, clearing energy with warmth and ease? You have the power to be present with your feelings and care for them.

Hi, everyone. Welcome to the Vitally You podcast. I'm Dana Frost, your host, and I'm popping in this week to say Merry Christmas from my heart to yours. I'm thinking about you, the vital you community with gratitude, respect and compassion. Today's certain the content is not novel. But sometimes we need to hear someone else reflect the truth back to us even when we already know it deep in our hearts. I want to talk to you today about emotional experiences during the holidays. This time of year we know it brings up a lot of emotions, it's a potent time of the year. Some years are fraught with depleting feelings like grief, regret and loneliness. And these feelings are magnified when we are confronted with friends and family on social media, sharing festive photos and videos. Now in previous generations, we didn't have this constant comparison of her own experiences.

So it's just set we're in such you know, a new time different times different times. Other years, we feel the wonder of a child, or we feel the passion of being in love, who doesn't want to be in love at Christmas time, or during the holidays. Some years we feel really connected to community and other years we feel as if we live on an island. I have felt all those extremes as I am sure you have to. And I am here to remind you that if you are in a season of depleting emotions, this too shall pass. I remember when I was in the depth of my marriage crisis, I felt like the ground had fallen beneath me. I couldn't imagine ever feeling normal, or whatever that is. Little by little the grief, the sadness and disappointment lost its grip on me throughout the healing process. It was a journey with steps forward and backward. I also remember the year after my dad passed was a really hard year especially for my mom.

Eventually I watched her find her footing and her own new normal. And I am here on today's podcast to say I see you whether it's letting go of a loved one who has passed that's emotional. Maybe facing regrets. That's hard. Moving to trauma takes courage. facing our truth when it opposes others is difficult. These scenarios are normal experiences of life, our time in this human body on this earth plane. Those are all normal experiences. They take time. And so I invite you today to sit here with me for a few moments. I see the emotional turmoil, I see the dark shadows, but I also see the light and sometimes we need someone to stick with us. And to see the light when we see darkness. I would like to lead you on a meditation that will calm your nervous system and provide a pillow of support.

I want you to find a comfortable spot. Get cozy, grab a blanket, maybe roll up into a tight ball like you're in your mama's tummy. Put your legs up the wall. Just get yourself comfortable. Let me give you maybe you can put pause on the podcast until you get yourself in a really comfortable place. And now I want you to put your left hand over your heart and your right hand over your left hand. And I just want you to feel your heartbeat began to let go. Using your body as a tracking device. Feel your inhale and your exhale. breathing in and out through the nose. deep, slow, quiet and regular will be inhaling and exhaling through the nose throughout the meditation.

Physically, the breath is deep. It fills your tummy. It's slow, it's quiet. And the inhale and exhale are roughly the same. Feel the weight of your body. Feel the weight of your body be heavy on whatever is supporting you. Take deeper breaths, and inhale and exhale with Audible sighs. Ha. Taking a deep breath in. Feel the weight of your hips. allow your hips to be heavy. allow your hips to sink into the support beneath you. Feel your jaw line become heavy. Bring your attention to your jaw line.

Allow the jaw line to be heavy. Feel the heaviness of the shoulders allow your shoulders to drop into the support beneath your shoulders. Base your attention on your face. Maybe take your hands. Take your hands and put them over your face. Just rubbing your palms on your face. Just have that physical touch of this beautiful thing that is your face. Feel your eyes think down into your head. Feel your cheeks drop down and your ears relaxed. Even just Rub your palms over your ears. Feel your mouth sink down. A sure attention on your eyebrows allow your eyebrows to unfurl and be relaxed. You can take your fingertips on the center of your forehead and just draw them out to your head. Using your fingertips over your forehead, eyebrows release. Your head is heavy and relaxed. Cool. Ooh. Inhaling and exhaling.

Ah take your arms with your hands. Cross your arms across your body opposite hand to opposite arm and just give your arms a little massage. Give your arms a little massage from your biceps down to your elbows, your forearms. Ah, your arms are heavy and relaxed. Your hands are heavy. Feel that drop of your hands on your body or on the place where you're lying. Your arms and hands are heavy and relaxed. Your abdomen is heavy.Your abdomen is inhaling with the inhale. Relaxing with the exhale your abdomen, your chest, your torso is heavy and relaxed as it sinks down into your support system. Inhaling and exhaling. Your body is relaxed.

I want you to feel the sensations in your body. Feel the vibration, the pulsations in your body. Think we missed the legs. So let's go down to the thighs. Place your attention on your thighs. Let them sink down into the support system. Your thighs are heavy and relaxed. You're in knees are heavy and relaxed. your shins are heavy and relaxed. Your ankles are heavy and relaxed and your feet are heavy and relaxed. If someone were to pick up your feet and hold up your legs and let them go they would follow up down. Wherever you're lying on to the support your body is heavy and relaxed.

Feel the sensations and the pulsations in your body. This is your electric body.We're going to start on the head and I want you to feel the pulsing behind your eyes. Feel the pulsing behind your eyes, the pulsing in your cheeks the pulsing in your jaws. Pulsing in your neck pulsation sensations, your light body. Feel the sensations in your neck. Waking up our attention to this energetic body that we have. Feel the sensations in your shoulders. Through your chest, you feel the tingling. When we bring our attention to a part of our body, we can feel the sensations that are happening in that part of the body. Feel the sensations in your arm the pulsations, it's the blood pulsing through your body, the water, your electric body, your cells that are firing your muscles that are firing. Feel the sensations in your hands, in your abdomen, your hips.

Bring your attention to the pelvic area and that connection that we have to the pelvic area to the earth. Feel the pulsations through the pelvis and the thighs. Bring your attention back up to your eyes. Bring your attention you draw it up to your eyes and then notice your whole body from your pelvis up through your torso to your eyes lit up your energy body lit up. Give us sensations of pulsations through your thighs, your knees, your chin, shins, your ankles, your feet, your electric body alive to you blood pumping, heart beating, lungs, breathing cells swimming, muscles, contracting, releasing relaxing, this is your vital life force. When we bring attention to it, we can feel the vibration of life inside of us. And your soul is inhabiting this earth suit that you have that is literally alive with light vibrating.

One of the ways that you can tap into this vibration is through the beating of your heart that heartbeat that vibration and right hand on the heart left hand over. Let's tap back into the heartbeat. You feel the heartbeat. This is the vibration that emanates throughout the body. And the soul is riding the waves of this vibration on the earth plane your soul inhabiting your body. This physical your physical body is the matter on this earth plane that your soul inhabits. And your soul is displayed to this light body. The vibrations show it's the evidence of your light body. Be still and present with your vibration. It is unique to you. It is a vibrational fingerprint. Do you know how significant it is this fingerprint of this vibrational fingerprint there's no vibration on the planet that matches yours. It's your vibrational fingerprint and you have something unique to contribute.

Additionally, you have dominion over the vibration you bring into the field of humanity. This might seem daunting but you are not alone. Being presentwith your light body. I want you to visualize a golden halo of light, encapsulating your entire earth body and a warm glow of golden light. This golden heavenly light emanates unconditional love and it surrounds you and fills you with this love. You are completely cradled in. Safe, I want you to feel the safe cradle container. In the midst, inside of the safe container, I want you to recall any emotional trigger that you would like to tenderly care for in at this time during this meditation.

So recall, an emotional trigger, and I want you to acknowledge it, be with it with no judgment. Just be here, be now, with the feeling. I've got mine. My feeling is annoyed, I was annoyed with another person, be with it with no judgment, and allow the feelings to be comforted by your light body and the golden heavenly light around you. tenderly caring for the feeling to be here, actually, I was going to have you, we're not going to move on yet I want us just to be with that feeling. tenderly caring for it, seeing it. And I want you to invite it to be released from the heart. Visualize the feelings releasing your heart as if, as if it's a water flow. So this flowing, the same motion flowing out of your heart like a waterfall, notice if there's a color to it. And if so, I want you to watch it flow until the color becomes clear.

Continuing to breathe, inhaling exhaling with a sigh if you need to. I'm here with you, the container is safe. If you need to pause the meditation, you can pause and come back. When you feel the emotion has been released from the heart, I want you to visualize that golden light that's encapsulating you. And I want you to visualize it entering your heart in the same place where the waterfall was flowing out so this golden light comes in. It's so weeps through the heart clearing the energy, warming the space with this beautiful golden light. Continuing to inhale and exhale, through the heart center feel the golden light vibrating inside of your heart. This ball of golden light emanating from your heart center. I want you to call upon that feeling of inner ease and visualize inner ease to flow to and from your heart center on this golden light.

So the feeling of injuries is flowing to and from the heart center on this golden light all as well. You have the power to be present with your feelings to care for them. And purposely use the body as a container for acceptance and release. This powerful body that you have this vibrational body that is filled with light and can be activated through your voice and through your command. Inhaling and exhaling. Bringing our attention back to our light body. I'm feeling all of my body feels alive and I feel pulsations throughout my entire body. This pulsation, it's like an inhale and exhale, opening, closing, opening, closing opening closing every cell in the body. And I want to encourage you that it is normal to have depleting emotions. And it is normal that we might be triggered during this potent time of the year. And I encourage you to be compassionate towards yourself and others. It's time for gentleness and tender loving care.

This sounds trite, but it's not love is actually the reason for the season. If you're celebrating Christmas like me, Jesus is the icon of unconditional love. It's okay to feel what you feel. Just be sure to love yourself to the feelings. I never would have gotten to the other side of my own emotional crisis. If I wouldn't have invited in and and then tender and compassionate towards myself and given myself the permission to feel the things that I was feeling. Bring yourself home to yourself. Bring yourself home to yourself and to unconditional love and acceptance. This is my message for you this week. And as you I'm holding out my hands actually they're held out large. It's like I'm holding you this community of vitally you in a circle. My arms are around you, hugging you in the safe container that we've created. May you feel peace.

No matter what you're going through, may you feel supported, may you feel loved. May you feel held in this container. Thank you for being with me during this very holy week.
