Episode Summary

I’m joined by Tina Anderson, co-founder of Just Thrive Health, to learn more about the science behind some of her bestselling supplements and discuss why optimizing your gut health is crucial to feeling younger while growing older.

Episode Notes

One of the most important parts of my wellness routine is taking a daily spore-based probiotic from Just Thrive, a cutting-edge supplement company. On today’s episode, I’m joined by the co-founder of the company, Tina Anderson, to learn more about the science behind some of the Just Thrive bestsellers and discuss why optimizing your gut health is crucial to feeling younger while growing older.

What sets a spore-based probiotic apart from conventional options is its ability to survive the gastric system and get to the intestines alive. Spore-based probiotics can actually change the microbial environment in a positive way一it’s not just a band aid solution. In fact, Just Thrive conducted a study showing that spore-based probiotics are actually helping increase the amount of keystone strains, or beneficial gut bacteria, that we all have in us.

Tina and I talk about the different gut offenders that we face on a daily basis and how taking a spore-based probiotic can help boost your immunity to those toxins. Tina highlights other interesting, valuable combinations of Just Thrive products, including the prebiotic, Just Calm, and Gluten Away.

Listen in to learn more about spore-based probiotics and other supplements that can support your lifestyle.

Welcome to Vitally You, a podcast created to introduce you to the tools that will be your roadmap for feeling younger while growing older. I'm your host Dana frost, a wellness expert, life coach and energy medicine practitioner. Here's what you can expect conversations about vitality from the inside out with guest experts in the field of health, culture and spirituality and solo episodes along the way from me where I do deep dives into the topics of aging, heart intelligence, energy, medicine, and your innate capacity to heal. If you want to feel younger, while growing older, this is the place for you.

Dana Frost  00:52

Hi, everyone. This is Dana frost. I am your host, and we are going into the heart of immunity this week with Tina Anderson, co founder of just thrive a cutting edge probiotic and supplement company. Tina Anderson's journey into the world of health had a unique start and some unusual turns. She began her career as a trial lawyer specializing in mediation. This is a personal passion of hers. But she eventually had to leave that high stress job because she wanted to have more time with her family. And thus she ended up becoming an in house counsel for a family pharmaceutical company. But what Tina saw there made her change directions again, frustrated by the abuses in the pharmaceutical industry, Tina turned toward the field of natural health and found her life's work. She channeled her energy into learning all she could about disease prevention and good health maintenance. And this led her to discover the importance of gut health and how connected and crucial it is for overall health and wellness. To share her discovery with the world. Tina, along with her husband created a unique supplement line that contains the superior probiotic strains of the renowned researcher Dr. Simon cutting by promoting gut health and probiotics. Tina shares her passion for wellness, helping others live their best physical and emotional lives. I'm so excited to have Tina on the show. I met Tina and her husband at the Biohacking Conference. And I wasn't aware that the probiotic strains that I use as a practitioner through megaspore, those are made available to the public through Tina and her husband's company just thrive. They have some really interesting supplements. So please join me in welcoming Tina to this week's episode. Tina, welcome to the show. It's such a pleasure to have you here.

Tina Anderson  02:53

Oh, thanks, Dana. I'm so excited to be here.

Dana Frost  02:56

Yeah, I'm so excited. Tina, just so everybody knows. I met Tina at the Biohacking Conference. And she has a team. I mean, she has a company, a spore based probiotic company. And I don't necessarily endorse a lot of supplements. But I'm really impressed with, with Tina and her company and her products. And so I thought this is a really valuable tool for feeling younger while growing older to bring to the community because we all know that gut health. It's the center stage. It's the foundation of our health. And so Tina, I'm just really excited for you to share your expertise with us today when it comes to gut health. So what do you see why do you see gut health as being so vitally important?

Tina Anderson  03:41

Yeah, I think the reason is that we know that it's really dictating virtually every single aspect of our health. You know, for many years, we thought of gut health as like having gas or bloating or constipation and diarrhea. And yes, those are absolutely signs that you have some gut imbalance or some gut issues going on. But now we know the gut is dictating every aspect of our health from diabetes, heart disease, cancer, mental health issues, that's a huge one, skin issues, skin rashes. It's really hard to find any disease out there any non communicable disease out there, that's not associated with an imbalance of the gut, and that leakiness of the gut lining. So that's why it's so important to me why I get so passionate about it, because people may be taking, you know, they may be doing lots of really great things for themselves, eating super healthy and clean and working out and doing all of these things. But at the end of the day, if we're not, you know, if we're not absorbing these nutrients, if our gut is inflamed, we're not even absorbing all these great nutrients that we're taking on a daily basis. And I think knowing that and then knowing this world we're living in that is so offensive to our gut health just wakes me up every morning. You know, I'm like, I've got to you know, get to work and get this word out there to people.

Dana Frost  04:58

I love that I Believe tell me if I'm wrong. You and your husband own this company together.

Tina Anderson  05:03

Yes, we did we own this company together.

Dana Frost  05:05

How did you get to the point of starting a company with spore based probiotics? Yeah, well, we

Tina Anderson  05:11

were in the pharmaceutical business for a while. And that was great. In the beginning, we thought this was wonderful. We're delivering life saving medications to people helping people feel better. And we were really excited about it. But as time went on, I read a lot of Norman Vincent Peale, Wayne Dyer, a lot of great thinkers out there. And I would read these books. And I'd say like, this is not my life's work. And it's not the way we live our life. There wasn't the way we were living our lives with our three children, you know, we would, we weren't giving them an antibiotic right away. We, maybe more than, you know, I know now more than I did, then. But I was very naturally minded. Anyway, my parents are both immigrants from Eastern Europe. And they were, you know, my I was breastfed when most kids my age were not breastfed. And so we were always kind of have that mindset in the beginning anyway. And then, as I raised my kids, I really wanted them to be more naturally minded too. And I'm like thinking, for goodness sakes, like in the pharmaceutical industry, that's not naturally minded at all. And, and I do believe that pharmaceuticals, there is a place for them. I do believe that, you know, there's life saving medications out there, people need to take antibiotics to save their lives from time to time, and there's a place for them, I just don't feel that it's a place for getting to a root cause you need to get to a root cause what pharmaceuticals are doing, of course, are putting on a BandAid on a symptom and not getting to the root cause and maybe they need to be used temporarily. So anyway, we were like, we're not doing our life's work, we really wanted to do something that was more in line with how we lived our lives. And so we explored a lot of different options. My husband was seeing a naturopath at the time, and they kept talking about different opportunities. And one day, he called us into his office and said, You will not believe this. He's like, I'm telling you, there's five people in this country that know more about the gut than I do. And this probiotic strain is game changing. It's creating a whole new category of probiotics out there. And so that's what we did. We took our life savings and put it into this and we created just thrive probiotic, and it's been literally the most gratifying career journey I've ever been on.

Dana Frost  07:10

That is amazing. So did you partner with the creator of this spore based probiotic,

Tina Anderson  07:17

what we did was we licensed the strains from them. That's what we did. So we can put our life savings into purchasing the exclusive rights to those strains.

Dana Frost  07:27

That is so fascinating. Now, tell me this. Tina, did you or your husband have any health issues?

Tina Anderson  07:33

No, that's what's so interesting, which is so different than so many people. And that's funny, because I always thought, Well, I'm very regular, I have great balls, everything's great. And then that I started taking the product, because of all the reasons I'll explain why you would want to take it anyway. And I'm like, Oh, now I know what it means to be regular. Now I know, you know, I always thought I was, but it's a different feeling so

Dana Frost  07:55

and so why don't you right away, let us know, let the community know, distinguish spore based probiotic from other probiotics.

Tina Anderson  08:05

Yeah. So spore based probiotics are an entirely different category of probiotics. So the majority of probiotics are made up of lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains. And the reason we didn't purposely put any of those strains into our formulation is that we know that they're very sensitive organisms, these lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains are sensitive, they have difficulty surviving that journey from your mouth all the way down to your intestines, not only does the body temperature kill them, but also the stomach acid. The stomach is meant to be the gastric barrier, it's meant to kill off things that we don't want it and to protect our intestines. But we want these probiotics, but most probiotics are dying in that journey, especially by the stomach acid. And so what happens is dead bacteria goes into your intestines. And it may help a little bit, actually, sometimes there is some evidence showing that dead bacteria will help a little bit, maybe give you some symptomatic relief. But it's not making a true change, a positive change in the intestinal community and there. So spore based probiotics are very different. They're not mushroom spores, they have this endospore shell around themselves, and that shell protects them. And it allows them to make that journey from the mouth all the way down to the intestines, it gets to that stomach acid, and it has this hearty like shell around itself. And it's not until it hits the intestines, that it recognizes it as its home and it takes the shell off, and that's when it goes into its live vegetative cell state. And so these four base bacteria are actually the same bacteria that we were eating off of the land our ancestors used to eat them and consume them on a regular basis. In fact, if you go to a tribe in Tanzania, they have no incidence of any gastrointestinal issues or anything like that, because they're getting the same bacillus spores from the land. We were meant to consume them on a regular basis. So it's when you allow nature to just work at its finest. It's amazing what happens, you know. And we see this all the time with people say, oh my god, this is like no other probiotic I've ever taken, it's like, well, that's because this is nature's true probiotic, this is the way our gut was meant to be conditioned and taken care of on a regular basis. So the biggest difference between a spore based probiotic and a conventional probiotic out there would be its ability to survive the gastric system and get to the intestines alive. That would be the number one is the survivability. And then number two is their ability to actually change the microbial environment in a positive way. So it actually makes a shift to have more beneficial bacteria than pathogenic bacteria.

Dana Frost  10:43

Yeah, that's really interesting. And and I know from doing my own gut analysis, from time to time, I tried to do it once a year. There's such a thing as Keystone bacteria. And even for me, somebody who eats really healthy and I'm very mindful about eating a variety of different fruits and vegetables and prebiotic foods. It has been hard because I've had different parasites and different bacteria, it's been hard to really have a diverse Keystone profile. And so I'm always this your products along with the microbiome products, because I'm a practitioner, there are both spore based probiotics. And I believe the strains were created by the same disc or brought forward by the same person. Am I right about that, Tina? Yeah, yeah.

Tina Anderson  11:32

So the natural path? Yes. So the natural path that I mentioned, was Tom and Tom and Kieran, our partners, business partners, and dear friends of ours, and we work very closely together all the time. So yes, we're it's the same creator of the strains from London University. Yep.

Dana Frost  11:47

Yeah. So it's not just taking probiotics, it's actually and this is why like the spore based it's what can the probiotics that you're actually paying for, because they're expensive, and you're digesting, which ones actually are going to create a difference in the community in your microbiome community. And that's one of the reasons I really like the spore based probiotics.

Tina Anderson  12:10

Yeah, that is the biggest key. And I'm so glad you brought up the Keystone strains, because we have a study showing that these are actually helping increase the amount of Keystone strains that we have in us. And so the probiotic alone showed an increase, but then the prebiotic Edie net even caused a larger increase in the Keystone strains. And so the best way I love to describe the spore based probiotics is if you envision a garden, and the garden has been stepped on and trampled on, and there's weeds growing all over that garden. The spores are like the gardener of the gut, they're going in there. And they're getting rid of those bad bacteria, getting rid of those, you know, weeds in the garden, and then they're going in and taking the good plants and helping bring them back to life. And so we all have these Keystone strains, we just need to have them start flourishing in our gut and thriving in our gut. So it's not just about getting rid of a symptom, it's about really taking care of that garden on a regular basis. Oh, I

Dana Frost  13:04

love that metaphor, the garden. That's a beautiful metaphor for this. Yeah, thank you.

Tina Anderson  13:08

Yeah, it really is spot on. Because we have to be taking care of our gut regularly. Because just like that garden outside, it's dealing with elements. It's dealing with bugs and pet, you know, different offenders to that guard. And we're dealing with these offenders every day from antibiotics that we take antibiotics in our food, glyphosate, of course, which is the active ingredient in Roundup, the air, we're breathing household products, I know I'm watching to the water, water, exactly. I'm preaching to the choir here. But just like the gardens dealing with this, you need someone to regularly tend to that garden outside. And the same is true for your own intestines. We need something to help regularly attend to all of these offenders that we're faced with on a daily basis.

Dana Frost  13:51

I think that this idea of toxins that were exposed to, I think that in the practitioner world, it's talked about a lot, but I think it's underappreciated the number of exposures to toxins that we have, just because we're living in a modern world, we're primarily urban dwellers, we don't have as much contact with nature, though our water if we're not, you know, they're all different ways of having filtered water, whatever. So many people drink water from plastic bottles and plastic components in the chemicals in the bottle, find their way into the water. We can't really I don't want to be an alarmist. But I also want to be a realist. We can't underestimate what the exposure to toxins does to the ecology of our bodies.

Tina Anderson  14:37

I could not agree with you more. I mean, every day we're dealing with this and it's and that's what's so hard. I mean, you just look at when I was a child, I knew one classmate that had a peanut allergy one, I mean from kindergarten through all the way at the end of high school. That's crazy. And now kids, obviously we know there's peanut free tables. I mean, when you go out to eat does anybody have food out? allergies. I mean, these allergies are rampid. And that is a direct reflection of this world we're living in and the toxins that we're facing and how we're killing our microbes. I mean, we're killing our microbes ever, even with the antibacterial soaps with antibacterial hand sanitizers, I mean, we're killing our microbes on a daily basis. And that's only harming us because we need microbes, less than 1% of bacteria is bad. But yet bacteria is so vilified in the world we live in. And yeah, I couldn't agree with you more.

Dana Frost  15:30

Yeah, and I want I'm just going to take this opportunity, I know if, you know, during the pandemic, and everybody using the hand sign of hand sanitizers and, and I would say, please don't do that. And I actually, I created way before the pandemic, and essential oil blend that is an antibacterial, antiviral, essential oil blend. So it comes from nature, these are essences that come from nature, and they don't kill the natural bacteria on your hands. But for all the listeners, if I could urge you to do one thing, don't ever use hand antibacterial liquid, again, because it really breaks down the beneficial bacteria that you have on your skin, you have these bacteria all over the skin on your body. And that actually protects things that you don't want to get in from getting in

Tina Anderson  16:18

exam, oh, I've been, you know, telling everybody that too. And it just you can't, you can't get I mean, people are just, they're just kind of stuck.

Dana Frost  16:27

I mean, this is why I wanted to have you on because that protection, it actually starts inside. And it's no different Tina than whatever work we have to do, like whatever our framework for whatever our situation is, like we have mental health issues, we have economic issues, or just relationship challenges. It's always starts inside, whatever that you know, whatever is rubbing, whatever, wherever the rub is, and our life, the real work is done internally. First, it starts inside and the physical body, it's the same, the symptom is what we experience. It's like the tip of the iceberg. That's the body like saying, Hey, listen to what's going on inside, it's a call to go inside, and do the healing work inside. And that what really we're talking about today is that opportunity, the possibility to go and tend to the internal garden. And when you intend to the internal garden, that's your protection from the toxins in the bacteria on the outside world. Yeah, so it's not about putting and this is not meant to be polarizing. But it's not about a mask or gloves, or shields. It's really about how can I fortify my internal ecology? So actually, I am a warrior and I, my body is so well defended? Because internally, I am so strong, I have these bacteria that are my soldiers.

Tina Anderson  18:00

Yeah, no, I couldn't agree. It's about building that resilience. We need resilience. And, you know, I would say this all throughout the pandemic, too. It's like, it's our gut microbes is the bacteria in our gut, that is sending signals to the immune cells. So our immune system would cease to function. If we do not have a healthy gut that's sending those signals to the immune cells. So vitamin C, vitamin, all these things are super important. And I take them myself, I'm just saying that the first thing we need to do is make sure our microbes are actually sending those are healthy. So they're sending the signals to our immune cells. And you're absolutely right, it all starts from within. And it's about building that resilience, making sure we're strong when we are faced with something so we could deal with it better.

Dana Frost  18:47

So Tina, I want to make a comment for the listeners. And that is, what I really appreciate about your line of the spore based probiotics is that they are for the public. So the spore based probiotics that that I now have a collection of yours. But the ones that I've been using all these years, they're for practitioners, and you need to buy them through a practitioner. The beauty of just thrive is that now the public has access to the spore based probiotics and I, I thought you had really interesting valuable combinations of products. You had the vitamin K two was seven. So maybe you can just talk about some of the products that you have. I think that would be really helpful for the listeners.

Tina Anderson  19:31

Absolutely. So our just thrive probiotic is our flagship product. And I would say everybody that wakes up, and there's nobody that shouldn't be taking it really it's just it's so important and so critical for everything else you're going to do after because it's whatever supplements you're taking whatever other things you're doing, you know it's going to absorb those supplements and those nutrients so much better when you have a healthy gut. We have boundless studies and we have a double blind human clinical trial. On leaky gut with our strains with our actual formulation, which is unheard of in the supplement space. So the probiotic is just foundational for health. If I stick with the gut health, and we have our prebiotic, which is what I always try to explain to people, we will never be a 200 SKU supplement company, we're not looking to just be a supplement company, we're looking to actually help people solve issues, we want to make an impact on society on a regular basis. So we did not launch a prebiotic until we found prebiotics that only fed the beneficial bacteria. The job of a prebiotic, of course, is to go into that garden and feed only the good plants not to feed any of the weeds. A lot of prebiotics out there, unfortunately, don't know how to distinguish between the beneficial bacteria and the pathogenic bacteria. So they'll go ahead and feed both, which is not good, it could make a problem worse for people. So our fibers only feed the beneficial bacteria. So our probiotic or prebiotic, we have our gut fortify product, which is focusing on building the mucosal barrier, we know our probiotic is helping seal that intestinal cell wall gut fortifies helping with the mucosal barrier, which is really, really important for also, when people are dealing with gut issues are vitamin K to seven product, I'm so glad you brought that up, because that is not really a gut health product. But it's so important and we feel so passionately about vitamin K to seven, its job in the body is basically to direct calcium away from arteries, like the heart where we don't want it and put it into our bone where we do want it. Calcium doesn't know where to go necessarily. So people are taking, you know, there's studies that show that women who are taking calcium supplements actually have a 50% increase in heart disease. And that's because the calcium is now being stored in the heart where we don't want it. The role of Vitamin D is so critical to help direct calcium to the bone. The studies on vitamin K two are unbelievable. I mean, there's a study with 10,000 patients over a 10 year period. That's a huge massive study, showing that it decreased heart disease and hurt calcification by 50%. And actually decreased all cause mortality by 30%. So dying of anything, it actually decreased it by 30%. So I cannot say enough about the importance of vitamin K to seven. And so like I said, we don't like I think Vitamin C is a really important nutrient. We don't have it because there's lots of other companies doing it really well. Our vitamin K two is stable. Most vitamin K twos degrade over time on the shelf, ours is stable, we know that we until the up until the expiration date, because we've tested it. So everything we do is based on research. It's based on testing. It's that's really, really important to us. Yeah. And

Dana Frost  22:45

you have another product that I thought was interesting, you're just calm.

Tina Anderson  22:49

Yes, yes. So we know that there is this huge connection between the gut in the brain, there's something called the gut brain access, which I'm sure many of your listeners already know about. But it's this vagus nerve that is connecting the gut to the brain and the brain to the gut. It is so critical. We now know that the brain is sending signals to the gut. And the gut is sending signals back up to the brain. And that's why I was saying people who have gut imbalance, you know, if somebody has depression, anxiety, any mood disorders, that's pretty much stemming from a gut imbalance. And so our new product just calm is actually called a psycho biotic. And a psycho biotic is a probiotic strain that actually supports that gut brain access. So increases communication, but also sends calming messages up to the brain. We know the studies on the just calm the strain used in there is Bifidobacterium longum 1714. That strain actually has been shown to reduce cortisol levels. It also has been shown that the study was done on people who exhibit anxious behaviors, and then people who have never really had any anxious behaviors. And people with anxious behaviors had low levels of this difficult longum 1714 people who didn't exhibited very calm states, brainwave states actually had high levels of this bifida longum 1714. So there was another study on the strain, showing that it helped bring us into the theta wave brain activity levels. So it's really exciting. And we launched that in April, and we bought enough product to last us for the end of the year. And we sold out within two months, because unfortunately, it's so relevant. This is such a relevant topic, the app, I mean, the real epidemic right now. And the pandemic is the stress and what people are going through the cortisol levels that are through the roof, that's what people are really dealing with right now. So we're seeing such incredible results because we know it's increasing that brain. You know, I think psychiatrists have had their hands tied for so many years, they have been working on the brain, you know, these SSRIs and anti anxiety medicines are really they're focusing on the brain, when now we know The real stem of these issues is in the gut. And so that's what's so exciting about this stuff at along I'm 1714 strain that is found in just calm.

Dana Frost  25:09

That's wonderful. Well, are there any other products have we touched on all of them,

Tina Anderson  25:13

we haven't touched on all of them. The other one that I'd like to mention is our gluten away product. So we have this Gluten is a product that has this really incredible enzyme in it called tolerates G. And what tolerates G does is actually break down the gluten to non toxic levels. Gluten is not good for anybody, even whether you tolerate it or you don't. Nobody's really tolerating it because we know gluten is breaking away at our gut lining. But it's meant for that accidental exposure to gluten, people who have celiac people with severe gluten issues. They'll eat out a gluten free pizza, and they still will get some gluten. I will admit if I'm going to eat some gluten, I'll take the product. But that's not what it's meant for, you know, but we I do know that at least it's going to break it down to the Yeah, exactly. I have no gluten issues or gluten intolerances that I can. But we know, it's, it's a little bit like that drippy faucet, you know, it's like you don't have it, you don't have it, and all of a sudden you have an autoimmune disease, you know, so we should all try to avoid gluten as much as possible. But this is just this is meant for the accidental exposure to gluten. So people have really had a lot of success with that product, too. The other products I'll mention is our IgG product, which stands for immunoglobulin G. And the job of immunoglobulins in our body that we already make is to get rid of, you know, grab onto those toxins like bacteria, fungi, viruses, mold all these toxins, and grab onto them. And it allows us to safely remove them from the body. So our IgG product actually has about 25% More, it adds 25% more of this, these immunoglobulin G's into our gut. So that's another one. I'm a huge, huge, huge fan of, you know, I really, we don't launch a product that I don't take myself. I mean, I'm just a huge, huge fan of everyone. And I'm my parents take in my in laws take it My priests takes it. I mean, yeah, my kids, obviously. So

Dana Frost  27:03

where would you recommend that someone starts? I mean, I have my ideas, but I want to hear from you.

Tina Anderson  27:09

I would definitely say to start with a probiotic. And a lot of times I like to do that. What you get start with a probiotic, and the just calm. But a lot of times I'd like to just introduce one product at a time, you know, like do one for three weeks and then add another one. Sure. Absolutely. Yeah. So I would always say to start with a probiotic. And then if you're having some mood issues, then I would start with a just calm product, because I think we're seeing such incredible results with the product. But understand that one of the biggest problems with brain health is you got brain inflammation, and brain inflammation is coming from two sources. One is from LPS toxins seeping into the bloodstream. And so those LPS toxins, that leaky gut study that we did with the probiotic actually showed that it was stopping those LPS toxins, it was reducing them by 42%, only over 30 days. So one source of brain inflammation is LPS from the gut leaking into your body and going to the brain. The other source is like external stressors that we deal with on a daily basis, you know, getting caught off by traffic, long list of things to do relationship issues, whatever it may be. So we know the probiotic is actually helping with those that LPs, like we know that the probiotic is helping seal up that gut lining. So that's a great place to start for that. And then we know that the just calm product, the psycho biotic is actually helping with external stressors that we're dealing with on a daily basis. So between the both of them, you're helping with that brain health, like so it's not just one or the other. It's it's both. But that's why the probiotic alone, yeah, I would start with that. And then if you want, if you have mood issues, I would start with the just calm, then I would do the prebiotic because you're just everything you're doing with the probiotic is being amplified with the prebiotic. Just like everything you're doing that garden is being amplified when you put fertilizer, it's like the fertilizer of the gut.

Dana Frost  29:03

Absolutely. Well, I'm really appreciating this conversation, Tina, and we are unfortunately we're kind of nearing the end. Is there any you know, any pearls that you would like to take this opportunity to share with the listeners? You know, one of the

Tina Anderson  29:20

things I just like to remind people is just to give yourself grace and to just start slowly and don't beat yourself up about things you know, maybe starting on a spore based probiotic isn't in your path right now. And that's okay, you know, go maybe walk and spend more time out in nature get more in touch with nature, do some meditation you know, the when you're calm, though, your brain is sending signals to the gut. So maybe that could help but just give yourself grace and start slowly and take baby steps along the way because I think those baby steps and you know, you end up climbing mountains when you just start with baby steps and give yourself grace in the process.

Dana Frost  29:57

Amen. Yes, that's deep was done there. And I believe the body is seeking homeostasis. It wants in our immune system, it is there to defend and protect us and it wants to do its job. And baby steps actually get a very favorable response from the body. We don't have to tackle everything at once. But if we just take one small step every day, one commitment towards our health, the body will reward it because that's what the body wants. It's seeking homeostasis.

Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more.

Dana Frost  30:33

So Tina, I'm going to ask you the question I asked all my guest, what does feeling younger while growing older mean to you? Feeling younger, but while growing

Tina Anderson  30:42

older? I think I go back to a word that's super important to me in my life is gratitude. You know, I'm very grateful for the age I'm at and how great I feel. And you know, people at our age always will say, like, Oh, it's another birthday. And I'm always grateful for my birthday. Because I'm always say it's better than the alternative. And so I'm like, I'd rather grow old and not grow old. So, but I feel I feel great. And I'm so I feel so blessed to be in this world, like in the health and wellness world, because it has taught me so much and, you know, listening to people like you and you know, other experts out there. It's just, it's really, I feel so blessed to be able to have this knowledge and be so empowered, and I love to empower other people because it's been fun growing old. My husband, I talked about that all the time, because we feel great. And what more can you ask for?

Dana Frost  31:32

That is awesome, Tina. I love it. I love it. We feel great. And what more can you ask for and what a privilege it is to wake up in the morning.

Tina Anderson  31:39

That's right. That's right. I do feel grateful every day. Wake up. That's awesome.

Dana Frost  31:43
