On today’s episode of Vitally You®, we’re talking all about the power of light exposure. Light determines the quality of your sleep, focus, productivity, mood, and well being. Today’s guest, Roudy Nassif, experienced the benefits of aligning with his natural circadian rhythm and was inspired to create VivaRays, which is a lens technology that helps mitigate the harmful effects of artificial light. We dive into the different types of light that exist in our modern world and how VivaRays can help you live more vitally.
How many times have you seen an ad for blue light blocking glasses that promise to reverse the negative effects of prolonged screen use? It can be tempting to buy in to a quick fix, but today’s guest, Roudy Nassif Co-Founder of VivaRays, breaks down the myths behind those trendy specs and talks about how his company uses breakthrough technology to help get you back on your circadian track.
Roudy shares how his ADHD resulted in him struggling to wind down at night, which caused years of depression, chronic fatigue, and extreme disorientation. It wasn’t until he spent time on a rural farm in Quebec where he was able to connect to his true circadian rhythm that he finally felt fully energized, motivated and focused. This breakthrough started his seven-year journey of studying light, quantum biology, circadian rhythms, and eventually creating VivaRays.
Roudy is dedicated to helping people to unlock their optimal potential by tapping into their rhythm. He and his team developed a three-lens circadian technology that is engineered to block a specific amount of artificial light depending on the light that is present in nature at any particular time of the day. Listen in to learn more about the different types of light that we encounter on a daily basis and how to get back to your natural rhythm with VivaRays!

[00:00:00] Dana Frost: Welcome to Vitally You, a podcast created to introduce you to the tools that will be your roadmap for feeling younger while growing older. I'm your host, Dana Frost, a wellness expert, life coach, and energy medicine practitioner. Here's what you can expect: conversations about vitality from the inside out with guests experts in the field of health, culture, and spirituality. And solo episodes along the way from me, where I do deep dives into the topics of aging, heart intelligence, energy medicine, and your innate capacity to heal. If you want to feel younger while growing older, this is the place for you. Welcome to the vital you podcast, everybody feeling younger, growing older. This is Dana. I am your host and I am so delighted to share my guest with you today. Rudy nazif Rudy maybe would seem like not a typical guest provided to you because he's quite young. He's the age of my older daughter. But Rudy has a very interesting story.
I was introduced to Rudy by my nutrition colleague in September, and I had the opportunity to hear about his health story and the motivation for starting his own company. He's the co-founder of Veeva raise a really interesting company whose first product is lens technology that helps you mitigate the harmful effects of artificial light so that you can sleep better, have more energy.
And. Rudy has been educating hundreds of functional medicine and naturopathic doctors about the power of light. You all know how passionate I am about light and really setting our rhythm on a daily basis to the sun and the night sky. So he has this power about light and helping others optimize their.
Personal as well as their patients' wellbeing, the sleeping pattern, the energy and the focus, which I already said that, Hey, this is a live podcast here. So Rudy, I want to welcome you. Thank you so much for taking your time to be with us to.
[00:02:17] Roudy Nassif: Hey, Donna. Thank you so much rabbit for having me today. And I'm so interested.
[00:02:22] Dana Frost: Yes. Well, thank you now, Rudy, you know, I mentioned that you're an unlikely guest because you are so much younger and this is Vitally You feeling younger, growing older. And I think maybe I didn't say this earlier, but what I have noticed is that there are. A lot of young people who have complicated health issues and they might be 18 25, 30, 40, and they're not feeling vitally themselves.
Their vitality is dimmed. And because they have these health challenges, whether it's fatigue, anxiety, other physical issues, sleep issues. And I know that you have a, your own unique story and I would love for you to share with us. Because you've just, you have such an interesting journey. So I would love to hear how you came to where you are
[00:03:11] Roudy Nassif: today.
Yeah, totally. I feel for them and, uh, those young people's wives who are suffering today, um, my motivation as well. This is what I do I do because my struggle started as a little kid at school visit three, four years old being diagnosed with ADHD. I suffered from headaches, agitation, and inability to focus.
And growing up, I turned into a night owl and I stayed up very late, feeling, super wired and stimulated only to lack the energy focus and motivation the following day. And eventually, as I grew up day after day, this led me to deep depression, chronic fatigue, and extreme this orientation. And it was really somebody touching my professional life.
My goals and aspirations, and even my relationship with my loved ones and with my partner. So I was really desperate to find a solution, but the problem is, as I kept going from one doctor to another, I felt exhausted and tired, and I was really feeling overwhelmed with all the different health opinions about what I should do.
And thankfully, Donna, I didn't, uh, take prescription medication. And I tried so many different diets, Herbert formulas that are BS, meditation techniques and physical exercise techniques. And while all of these helped me to a certain extent and truly positively impacted my life, I was still feeling why, or that night and fatigued and extremely depressed during the.
Now miraculously, a specific event change all of that in my life. I spent several weeks on a I, a ruler farm in Quebec, camping, and I was exposed only to natural light during the day and fire and candlelight during the evening. Now, within a matter of a few days, something miraculous happened. I literally sat winding down in the evening, feeling mellow and relaxed, sleeping shortly after the sunset.
So then wake up before the sunrise for the first time in my life, super rested, fully energized and motivated and focused. I literally worked out all day. I was farming, dancing, cooking, hiking, swimming, and leg, and studying. And I was literally able to achieve in a 24 hour more than I would in a month. I mean, how did that magic happen?
I didn't change my diet. I didn't take supplements and I wasn't exercising or meditating in a different way than I was.
[00:06:07] Dana Frost: Your story, Rudy, it's so extraordinary. I wish everybody could see my expressions and his expressions because I'm about to burst because I, I love your story, Rudy. It just speaks to what I believe is central to health.
And that is getting your rhythm matched up with the sun and the night with the morning and the night. It's just, it's just really such a beautiful example of struggling. Like you struggled for, you know, all of those early years, your growing up years, and then it's literally sinking your body to the rhythm of nature.
[00:06:52] Roudy Nassif: Transformational event. And at the time I didn't understand what happened. I had no clue. I was just in awe. I couldn't believe it all these years going from one doctor to another. And for me it seemed miraculous. It seemed just like magic, but there's no such thing like magic and. There's laws of physics, right?
And when my vacation ended and I, and I returned back to the city at the time, I was still living in Toronto. Within a matter of few weeks, I fell back into my old, terrible routine of staying a plate and we cannot feeling tired, exhausted, and having little to no energy throughout the week. So at this point, I start wondering whether it was my light and vitamins that was causing all of this.
And this question led me literally to a seven year journey shifting from engineering to his seven year journey. What I was studying light quantum biology, circadian rhythms, and I was consulting the world's leading expert in this field. And what I learned is that we are light beings and that physical reality itself is bud light that is condensed.
And that is vibrating at a lower speed. And this means that not only light that does, does shape and mold every aspect of our wellbeing and health, but light is the nucleus of life itself. So the quality of the light exposure. Anyone will determine the quality of your sleep, your focus, your productivity, mood, and wellbeing, and the problem Diana is.
And I would modern words, especially young people, equally old people, because I'm seeing more and more old people staying indoors and spending a lot of time around, you know, artificial light bulbs and screens. We're getting very little natural light during the day. And we are being bombarded by junk artificial lights from phones, devices, and led boards.
And this is literally destroying so many different aspects of our biology. And at this point, when I, when I learned this, I was desperately looking for solutions and I discovered about blue-blocking glasses. And to be honest, after trying so many in the market, I didn't experience the benefits that I felt on the phone.
And we'll probably get to go more into this. And what I learned from consulting the world's leading experts in circadian rhythm about why these glasses didn't work the way they should work. But when I collected all these information, I wanted to create a solution. So I can have the freedom to live in a modern world.
Why not compromising my health sleep, mental health, and wellbeing. And this inspired me to develop something. What I call, I don't like to call blue light blocking glasses, because I don't want to associate with that much. There's a lot of gimmick around it. I like to call it a suite three lens circadian technology that is engineered to block a specific amount of artificial light, depending on the light that is present in nature at a particular time of the day, because the light is changing from daytime to evening tonight.
And this technology is designed to provide people with a 24 hour protection from junk artificial light and enabling people to have full control over the light environment, no matter where they are, whether they're in a more visiting friends at their house watching television.
[00:10:25] Dana Frost: It's so interesting. Rudy, what would you say?
Because when, when I spoke to you the first time, when you, you mentioned that the blue, because I said, oh yeah, my, my kids wear the blue. Glasses, the blue blocking glasses. And you, you know, you are the one who showed me that, well, those that's not really effective. And so for the listeners, because most people won't have heard about your style of lens technology, what would you like to say to them about the blue blocking glasses?
Cause that's what most of us know about.
[00:10:59] Roudy Nassif: Totally. Yeah. When I, when I first saw learning about the detrimental effects of blue light, I had a misconception that blue light is bad, which is not necessarily true. We're going to go more into this, but at the time I bought a clear blue blocking glasses, which are very, very popular nowadays on the internet.
And after trying these deep glasses for a while, I mean, experienced any benefits whatsoever. And what I quickly realized is that those skills blue blocking glasses, item, marketing gimmick. Now why? Because blue lights ranges from 3 89, a meter and Waveland up to 590 meters. Okay. And the first part of blue is called blue purple.
And then the middle part is blue. The third part is blue turquoise. Now, if you measure the light that is emitted from led bulbs and screen. You're going to clearly see that it peaks at 4 65 nanometers in wavelength and blue purple light. And it's basically a deficient and all the other colors. And one of the reasons why people would get.
Agitated and experienced eyestrain and eye fatigue when exposed to led boards and screens is because these sources of light are emitting an imbalanced spectral curve of flight, which means that the blue is not being balanced with the orange, yellow, and red lights. Okay. Now the main problem is that those clear blue light blocking glasses are designed to block blue light up to four 20 nanometer.
And if you observe the spectrum distribution of those, uh, devices, they do not emit any blue lights up to 4 29, a mirror that emission literally start at four 30, it peaks at 4 55 and then it goes down. So it's literally, you're blocking blue light. That is not being emitted from any development screen.
It's like trying to rinse your keynote and the pasta strainer through the holes because it is the wrong fit. Well, that's
[00:13:03] Dana Frost: really fascinating. And I hope everybody caught that there they are a gimmick. It's exactly what you said. It's not blocking the proper wavelength of blue light.
[00:13:13] Roudy Nassif: Yes. And basically those companies, they do a trick by using a pen showing you that these glasses are blocking the blue light.
That is being emitted from that pen. But guess what? This pen emits blue light at 3 89. Which is again, not the blue light that is being emitted from the screens and the led bulbs, because those screens emit light at 4 55 and not at 3 89 a mirror. And therefore, when you see that these glasses are blocking the blue light emitted from that pan, that's true, they are, but they're not actually blocking the blue light that you're traumatically exposed to throughout the day.
[00:13:49] Dana Frost: That's so fascinating, Rudy, this is why I wanted to have you on, because there's so much that we need to know in our modern world. And we really just, we don't have the time and the capacity to expose ourselves to all of these subtle pieces of information that actually have dramatic impacts on our health.
And I, what I really want to position all of us is the simplicity of how you heal. The simplicity of exposing yourself to the natural rhythm of day and night. This is nature. Uh, we, our bodies, we are nature. We are organic and we are designed to be in sync with the natural law. And all you had to do. It's so simple.
We're getting, you know, you've got this, there's this very technical side of what your company is. And yet there's also the super simplistic way that you healed and that is available to all of us.
[00:14:53] Roudy Nassif: What was it? It, it is. And you know, I always tell people getting a great night's sleep consistent. And waking up every day, feeling refreshed and energized do not happen by chance.
It happens by design. Okay. And it is literally governed by a universal law and this universal law, as you mentioned, this. And darkness aspect of things is called the circadian rhythm. Okay. And this rhythm circadian, by the way, comes from the Latin word, Shirka India, which means about a day or 24 hours. So it's a 24 hour cycle that we go through.
And every biological SPC on earth go through the same rhythm. This rhythm exists in all plants, animals, and humans. We all undergo an unescapable change in our environment. The day must become night, and this happens by law. And in order for us to adapt to this daily change, we have had to develop an internal clock that controls the timing of our daily functions to the optimum time of the day or the night throughout the 24 hours.
So when talking about circadian rhythm, I always liked to use the analogy of a symphony it's 24 hours symphony. And just like in a music of symphony in order for an orchestra, with many musicians to produce a harmonious music and you need to be guided by conductors. And this conductor reads the music and notes and instructors, musician on.
And our buddy is very similar. Okay. In our body, we have conducted is called the suprachiasmatic nucleus and it's a master clock. Okay. You can think of it as like just any other clock, a clock that sits in our brain and this clock reads the musical notes coming from sunlight information and is responsible for that.
All of the musicians and our body, like the organs, the glands, and the millions of the cells, what to do throughout the 24 hour cycle. And it's literally how our body knows when to wake up in the morning, when to eat and digest, when to think of big problems and be creative and when to go to sleep at night.
And when we do all of these activities related to sleep feeding, Thinking and physical performance and windows, the OD in harmony with the light and dark cycles, we are much more likely to increase our performance. If we sleep, we're going to sleep much deeper, much better. If we sit and think of a problem, we're going to tap into the solution in a much more creative way, because we are using the fullness of our brain at times when the brain is at its peak before.
So it's as simple as this. And the problem is I want you to imagine that this conductor in the symphony started reading the wrong musical notes. How would the music sound offer? Right? How do
[00:18:15] Dana Frost: we feel
[00:18:17] Roudy Nassif: exactly. Imagine if this happened to your buddy and it does every single day, every single day. And I would more than life.
We do not allow this conductor to read the proper signals. Because we are staying in those all the time and we are joining it with artificial light that has mainly blue lights, which makes our conductor thing that it's 12 noon summertime all year long, and that we are supposed to be doing one thing rather than the multitude of self-hating functions that nature has equipped us with.
We are designed to wind down in the evening. And tap into our creative, feminine side, meditate, relax, and imagine as well as contemplate the day. Whereas most people, they are feeling super wired and stimulated at night when they are supposed to be winding. Now, now why? Because most people are exposed to the wrong inflammation of light at the wrong time of the day.
[00:19:14] Dana Frost: Well, it's just incredible that there is a natural design. To the human body that is in sync. I love what you've said. It's every animal on the planet has this, the circadian rhythm that is a clock and the body is uniquely designed to be in sync with it. And so what do we do in our modern time? So what, what, several years ago, we moved from our suburban home to the city.
And so I've had the privilege of living in a condo that. All windows and now where we're living now in Miami, also, it has all windows. So I really have the opportunity in my living environment to be exposed to natural light, more so than what I would have in, in the home that I used to live in. Tell me a little bit about your company.
Tell me, you know, what are some other ways that you are mitigating exposure to artificial light?
[00:20:14] Roudy Nassif: When, anytime we talk about sleep, we got to start thinking of wakefulness. And anytime we talk about wakefulness focus and energy, we also got to think of sleep. There are these two periods in our, in our 24 hour cycle.
There's tethered to one another. So basically in river is where we're really about. Helping people to unlock their optimal potential by tapping into what we call a rhythm. Now, rhythm is always about what, when and how much. And these three are related to food intake, exercise, but most importantly light.
So what type of lights you're exposed to, how much light you're being exposed to and when you are exposed to. It's a very important aspect because anytime we was talking about wakefulness, it's associated with alertness focus and productivity, and this is triggered by three main light signal existence.
Okay. In order to really activate wakefulness, we gotta be exposed early in the morning to bright light and ideally coming from sunlight. Okay. And this bright light we need. A hundred thousand Lux, uh, plus in order to activate the system that I'm talking about and what this slide does, is it activates light sensors in our eyes, which signals to our central clock that's daytime.
And this central clock sends messaging to all of our organs and a hormonal system in the body so that we can start producing all that we need in order to be happy, productive, and energetic for this. Now another very important aspect that our eyes need to be exposed to in the morning. I, this is this rise in color temperature.
So if you ever been outside witnessing a sunrise, you see more over an orange, red lights rising in the sky. And this color of temperatures increasing in orderly manner from around 2,700 Kevin's at sun. All the way up to 6,500 Calvins when the sun is around noon. And that's when the sun is really inclining and the blue, green purple and it's provided frequencies.
And all of these frequencies are signaling to our body, the advancing in the day. Now here's the problem phones and most of led evolves have a color temperature of 6,500. And what most people do, they wake up in the morning and they look at their phone right away, or they turn on the wall right away. And they're getting this 6,500 Calvins at 6:00 AM in the morning.
And the body's starting to think, and their body's starting getting confused about the time. So that's another aspect in the morning that we got to pay attention to. Now, the third aspect is. You know, the, the inclining light. Okay. Because it turns out the angle at which sunlight hits the cornea. And I activate those light signals in the eye in a different way.
And what this means is the light sensors in your eye will be activated in a different way when the sun is rising versus when the sun is setting. So we can register the position in the sky, the position of sunlight in the sky, we have this technology, but it's in and all that. So, what do we do with all this information?
Technically, you want to wake up first thing in the morning and we want to go outside first thing before looking at our phone. If we're checking our emails, if we're before turning on any artificial lights and we want to witness this slowly rising, bright sunlight in the morning, because it will activate all the biological processes that we need so that we can.
Have a peak performance in our thinking and our, and our creativity, as well as activate our metabolic processes so that we can digest better. And it would also turn on different neurotransmitters in the brain like serotonin and dopamine, which are responsible for our motivation or happiness and a sense of calm and peace as well.
So serotonin, but not only this, this morning light also provides energy for the natural conditions. Tip to find the acid in the eye into melatonin. So melatonin, the hormone of darkness is actually produced in the eye in morning. Sunlight.
[00:25:08] Dana Frost: That is true. I learned that is, it is really fascinating.
[00:25:13] Roudy Nassif: And the only thing is that melatonin will not be released and triggered unless we get the darkness signal.
And this, this bring us to the second aspect of the circadian rhythm, which is darkness. We got our also witnessed the slowly fading light as the sun is. Because this light will signal to our assistant that the day is ending and it was turned on our melatonin production that has been produced early in the morning.
But guess what? When we expose ourself to high-frequency blue and green light, after the sunset, we literally destroy melatonin production and we start delaying. The onset of melatonin. And this is one of the main reasons why people struggled to get a really great night's sleep because their melatonin system is being destroyed by artificial light at night.
And this is where the Viva is classes that evening and the nighttime one play a fundamental role in filtering out those frequencies of light that are signaling to the brain, the wrong information about. And confusing our brain, our body into thinking it's daytime when it's already nighttime and when it's really the time for our bodies to wind down and stuff, you're paying for explanation and relaxation.
[00:26:40] Dana Frost: Wow. It's really incredible. Isn't it? I did this. I mean, I'm just kind of taking, taking I'm pausing to just really take in. How simple it is. And yet how complex it is because of how we have built shelters around ourselves that are barriers to what the natural rhythm is. And because we have our shelters, which it's, nothing is ever all good or all bad.
So. You know, there are all of like when light was invented and, and yet the pendulum can swing with anything that's really good for civilization. Anything. That's a gift. The pendulum can swing and it can become almost a curse. That's the way I think of maybe our food supply. We because we do have mass agriculture, we have been able to feed the world that yet because we have mass agriculture because what's required to produce at that level.
The quality has decreased. And so, you know, some of these inventions that are marvelous, they have the polarity that can be harmful. And so this is where we are. And I think it's, it's harder for people who live in the Northern hemisphere where I, you know, this is what I get really curious about, depending upon where you were raised in the world.
I do believe the body is so adaptive. That our bodies adapt to the location in which we were raised. It's why you'll see melatonin levels are different depending upon skin color, even the body to take in, you know, darker skin doesn't take in as much light from the sun because of being so exposed to the sun.
There wasn't as much of a need. So the human body biology is incredibly adaptable, but I think because of our modern ways, we've kind of messed with that adaptable. And now we really have ourselves in a situation where we have, at least in Western culture. We have so many people who are so sick and chronic disease has skyrocketed neurological diseases are skyrocketing.
Auto-immune disorders are skyrocketing in that. I really don't believe that's the condition of the human. Body or the human spirit is sickness and disease or disease. I don't believe that is the natural condition of who we are and how we were created.
[00:29:16] Roudy Nassif: Another percent was having a nice contemplation and conversation with a colleague.
She's a leader in the field of quantum biology and she's an MD as well. And we're just talking how there's a beautiful paradigm shift in the field of medicine that is. From biochemistry and molecules, where light is perceived as something superficial that makes vision possible to a field of quantum biology, where light is much more powerful, profound, and influential than thought to be.
And as we were talking about, this made me contemplate about the law of cause and effect, which literally states that in everything in life, There are two points, the essential and the incidental and the essential is always the nucleus and the cause. Okay. Whereas the incidental is that which gathers around the nucleus and take shape from it.
In other words, it's a effect and always reading a very fascinating book that was going deep about the law of cause and effect. And in this book, the author. We're saying that true knowledge always consists of distinguishing these two from each other. And editor always consists in misplacing them and making the effect.
The cause. Now, as I was finding these two ideas together was realizing that the old paradigm in medicine is focusing so much on the incidental rather than, than the essential it's focusing on observing the. And it has forgotten everything about the cause. And even when we talk about effects, when we, when we, when we assess the issues, organs, even hormones and neurotransmitter, Every aspect literally of our physical body is, is, is a by-product manifestation of the core.
Cause of all things in our physical reality, which is light. I mean, light is the most powerful force that shapes and molds our life, energy and wellbeing. And Einstein taught us something phenomenal about light, which we haven't really yet integrated much into medicine and we are starting to do so more than.
With the rise of, uh, quantum biology, but I understand taught us the E equals MC squared. Okay. Which, which clearly states that matter. And our physical reality is back and then slide that is vibrating at a lower speed. So E is lights M is matter and C is velocity. And this means that. Energy and matter are exactly the same thing.
And this literally mean that we are light beings and that everything around this woman, including the planet itself was, was once beautiful light and is powerfully shaped by light. And this is not philosophy. I mean, this is literally quantum physics. And the question rises. What happens when we confuse the cause with the effect?
I think we, we literally make those effects, uh, our point of support and we start leaning upon them and we ultimately fall with them. And I guess we are starting to see more and more in the drastic failure. Of the old paradigm in the field of medicine, trying to deal with modern chronic diseases. I think modern medicine does a wonderful job with mechanical stuff.
However, anytime we step into the field of modern chronic diseases, like anxiety, depression, diabetes, cancer, as a Heimer and so on, we just don't have any answers. And there's a reason why. And based on my experience and the experience of almost thousands of people that I've been working with, it's no matter who you are, no matter how sick you are, how foggy headed, how depressed when you stop optimizing your life.
When you start getting more sunlight during the day and more darkness at night, things will change in your life very fast. I mean, the answer for that. Is tied with so many different neurotransmitters in our body that control our physiology, like cortisol, serotonin, dopamine, and melatonin. And all of these neurotransmitters are highly tied to lights and they have events in.
And their chemistry and abandoned cheap ring is literally a futon trap. So it absorbs light and it allows this slide to transform it in a way where another. So I think hopefully we are in a very interesting phase. Where things are tremendously shifting and we are starting to understand more and more the importance of getting more sunlight during the day and blocking all artificial lights at night
[00:34:39] Dana Frost: So Rudy, I just really appreciate everything that you've shared. It's a real education for all of us to be thinking about the kinds of light that we're exposed to and how the, that the quality of the light impacts our physiology and our mental health. And I would love for you to talk to us about your specific product line.
That can be a support to us in our modern living.
[00:35:07] Roudy Nassif: Yeah, definitely. So we engineered a 3d lens technology system that is designed to block different amounts of artificial blue light at different times of the day and allow different color temperature of light so that our brain stay in sync with a time outside because blue light does not necessarily by.
It's neither good or bad, just like anything in nature it's relative and its effect on us with depends on the time of the day that we're exposing ourselves to it and whether or not it was proportionate and balanced with the other color frequencies. So would that being said, anytime we are during the day, we need a lot of blue light because it resets our circadian rhythm.
It elevates our mood. And, uh, enhance our productivity. However, we want this brutal act to be balanced with the other colors, because light by itself is very degenerative and it's usually in nature, balanced by the orange and red lights that are very regenerative. And therefore we designed a daytime technology.
That is designed to transform the Hartford narrow peak at 4 55 nanometer and blue violet from led walls and screens into a more balanced and more natural distribution with the colors of yellow and green, so that your eyes would be protected from junk light and that you won't be experiencing eyestrain.
an agitation. And when referring to these data and glasses, I used the word transform rather than block, which really differentiate us from other yellow tinted glasses in the market. And after testing so many, these yellow tinted glasses block hundred percent of the blue at 4 55, 9 a mirror. And then the process of doing this, they wipe out all of the blue turquoise at 4 89.
Now why is that important? Because 4 89 a mirror is a very crucial frequency in blue light that we need to expose ourselves to during the day in order to feel alert, focused, and energized. And when we were there, the wrong type of blue blockers that wipe out this frequency, we're more likely to start feeling drowsy and fatigued at the time when we are supposed to be feeling at our peak and.
Therefore, when we design our daytime technology, we made sure that it decreases the intensity of blue at 45 without eliminating it. And it allows all of the blue turquoise at four 18 and a mirror, which means that you would feel optimally focused and energized throughout the whole day. Now, step number two.
Is, as soon as the sun is setting, this is a very important time for anyone to be outdoors and to witness the slowly fading light, whether directly or indirectly, it doesn't matter. Even if it's cloudy, we still get this slide information into our system. Okay. Step number three, when we come back home after the one.
That's when it's very important to protect from our eyes from blue and green light frequencies, because those frequencies will confuse our brain again into thinking it's daytime and disrupt our circadian rhythm. So our evening life. Uh, these designed to block all of the blue yet they keep enough green.
So you can still socialize drive, cook, and do your evening activities without feeling very sleepy and the are designed to mimic the color temperature of Twilight or the bonfire color temperature at 1,800 Kelvins, which evolutionary has a very relaxing effect on our nervous. Okay. Now next is our nighttime glasses and those are designed to block a hundred percent of the blue, a hundred percent of the dream, and to decrease the brightness by 20 times, because it turns out that bright light of any color, even if it's not blue and green could also suppress our melatonin and shift our sleep in the wrong direction.
So therefore these glasses. Well, protect your brain from the wrong information and the are designed to be worn one hour before bed so that they can optimize your melatonin completely and allowing you to access a much deeper sleep and produce growth hormone at night in order to wake up, feeling light, fresh, and ready for.
How
[00:39:56] Dana Frost: many different options do you have, are all of those, those steps that you described different, a different option of a lens or a pair of glasses?
[00:40:05] Roudy Nassif: Yeah, so, so those are the daytime lenses, the evening lenses or the nighttime lenses. But back in the day, people needed to wear two, two by three different frames and to carry them all around, which could also get very expensive.
And, uh, what I want to share today is about our latest innovation. It's called the clip and go, and technically you don't need to buy three different friends anymore and giving them, uh, all around because this technology will allow you to seamlessly transition from one lens technology to another, where they click.
And you would be able to monitor your lights from day to night with one frame only without needing to buy three different frames. It's very convenient, very comfortable, and also much, much more affordable. So I really recommend.
[00:40:58] Dana Frost: I love that. And I hope our listeners will check out the Viva Ray website and take a look and just do some reading.
You've got a lot of good information on your website. So Rudy, I want to thank you so much for sharing this. I know you've studied extensively for, I don't know, probably a decade. You've studied light for such a long time, and I want to thank you for sharing your wealth of insight and wisdom and. I want our listeners to know that at the very least, if they, maybe not everybody can afford sunglasses, you know, the, the blocking glasses, or I guess I shouldn't say blocking glasses, what would you say?
What's the right terminology
[00:41:39] Roudy Nassif: as circadian technology system. Okay.
[00:41:41] Dana Frost: So not everyone can afford a circadian technology system, but all of us can. Do what we can do to expose ourself to early sunlight and really be mindful in the evening. Um, Watch the sunset try to expose herself. I love that you highlighted for us that even if there are clouds, we're still getting the natural light.
It's still important. Regardless if we actually see the sun rise or the sunset to expose ourselves to it. And, and if it's cold and we don't want to go outside, we can open windows and look through.
[00:42:23] Roudy Nassif: Definitely. It's very important to open windows when we are induced because windows filter out a lot of the beneficial frequencies of sunlight and make this emission very distorted.
And it's very, very important. Anytime we're in the car or we behind windows to at least open the windows slightly in order to allow these frequencies of light to enter fully. And I know that this can be a lot of information. And I want to read it, the audience to benefit fully and to integrate this session today and this episode.
So when I invite everyone to download our free guide, it's called light the key to mastering your sleep and energy. And it literally has all the tips, strategies, and tools that you need in order to fully elevate your light environment to a whole new level. It's very simple. And it's a step-by-step. That is phenomenal.
And as you follow these steps, you'll be able to instantly experience better sleep, have more energy and focus and definitely experience, much more activity. Are you.
[00:43:31] Dana Frost: That's a great suggestion. So I have that guide. If we put your website in the show notes, people can go to your website and it actually is a pop-up box.
Am I right? Yeah, definitely. It's a pop-up box and you provide your email and you're going to get the download. I highly recommend that. That's an excellent place to start, Rudy. Thank you for highlighting that. And. I do have a question that I ask all of our guests. And that is what does feeling younger while growing older mean to you,
[00:43:59] Roudy Nassif: Rudy?
Well, to me, staying young is being young at heart and being young in the way we think behave and feel because age is just an illusion and I would really to conceive ourselves to. And which results in our behaviors and our feelings of ours about ourselves. Uh, uh, the fundamental that will determine how young or how old we are feeling in our soul, regardless of our time spent on earth.
So this is why it means you need to stay on.
[00:44:43] Dana Frost: Okay. That is a beautiful Pearl to leave our listeners with. And I would also say that age has nothing to do with how much we have to impart to people, to humanity, to our cultures, because you are a young person and you have this deep well of experience of information that we can all benefit from.
And I love learning from young people. I always say, I feel like young people are. Prepped and ready to sort of save the day of modern culture. So thank you so much for being here on the podcast with this Rudy. I really appreciate your time and your insights, and we will include all of your information in the show notes for our listeners.
